This section of the website provides a framework for interprofessional education for patient supported quality improvement.
Regional universities have re-aligned
All of the eleven universities have reconnected because of the work of the HEI Challenge and become a network of universities. We have developed new partnerships through a clustering on universities across the region to widen interprofessional learning opportunities
An opportunity to progress our IPE beyond existing curriculum content
We have reflected on the importance of quality Improvement for IPE curriculum and how to link our Quality Improvement work to existing IPE curriculum.
We have brought our service users and carers together to reflect on what happens in care.
Trying new IPE Quality Improvement approaches involving patients/service users
We have listened to how Health and Social Care Team Challenge is valued by students and links academic with practice, begun to design material for running a H&SCTC and consulted with our students on how to progress QI and IPE.
We have designed a model for making QI stories into a framework for enabling pre-registration IPE.
Our pledge for sustainability
We have made a pledge to:
- Raise the profile of interprofessional education in the East Midlands and adjoining regions
- Set milestones for the future connectivity of our universities, staff, learners and communities
- Explore how to measure and research the impact of interprofessional education on quality improvement in education and research
- To design and plan QI within IPE which is patient-centred and involves students
